W3Africa is a beta directory for African technology. This page explains the information used to operate the service.
Information we receive
When you create an account, Clerk provides your account identifier and basic profile details. When you submit or save an entry, we store the information needed to provide that feature. We also receive ordinary technical logs such as request time, IP address and browser information.
How we use it
We use this information to authenticate accounts, process submissions, prevent abuse, moderate entries, operate search and improve reliability. Private saves and collections are not public or indexable unless you choose to publish them.
Sharing and retention
Service providers such as authentication, hosting, database, search and monitoring providers process data only as needed to run the service. We do not sell personal information. We retain account and moderation records while needed for the service, legal obligations or dispute handling.
Your choices
You may request access, correction or deletion of account information by contacting leshey@w3africa.com. We may need to verify the request before acting.
This beta policy is operational guidance, not jurisdiction-specific legal advice. It will be reviewed before general availability.
